Tavarus (Blackmonster❤️) Blackmon grew up in Northern California. His work is influenced by Art History and Popular Western Music, including Western Art Music. He works in the Abstract and Improvisational processes and practices Paining, Drawing, Sound Art, Motion Pictures and Interdisciplinary Arts
After watching "The Berberian Sound Studio," Blackmonster dedicated more time, focus and energy to sound and Sound Art. Teaching himself to read music and being a self trained Composer, Blackmonster began vocal improvisation in 2015. Each audio or music track containing his voice is an improvisation. And since 2020 using the Voloco App on iOS, each improvisation is recorded in one take.
